Jim Vitale graduated with an H. B.Sc in Kinesiology in the coaching certification stream at York University.He has put his NCCP 3, Advanced 1 coaching certification to good use having coached 13 minor hockey seasons in the GTHL, as well as coaching positions with Tier 2 Jr. A, OUAA and National level programs.

Jim also holds a B.Ed and is currently employed by the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. His many years as a coach, as well as owner of Vital Hockey Skills in the GTA, has given him a solid knowledge base on the development of young hockey players from tyke to Pee Wee. Combining this experience, with his backgrounds in physiology, biomechanics and early childhood development, Jim is able to understand and communicate player safety needs as they progress through hockey at various levels.
