Welcome Athletes to our site. We have developed this site with the sole intention to help keep you in the sport you love and if you do get concussed how to return to life. I’m Keith Primeau and welcome to stopconcussions.com.
On this site you can learn the importance of playing safe and how concussions can affect your lives. My NHL career was cut short by concussions, and we don’t want that to happen to you! Take a look around the site to find information about concussions and learn tips on how to play the game safe! Many of my other professional friends from the NFL, NBA and of course the NHL will visit you here to help teach better skills and inform you on how to play safer!
Also my friend Kerry Goulet who has helped me develop this site is available 24/7 for you if you have any questions or concerns about concussions. He also suffered two documented concussions and has first hand knowledge about the cause and the management of concussions.
For younger athletes, both boys and girls, please let Picster help you learn about how injuries can affect you both on and off the ice. Take a look around the link below to learn more about concussions, spinal cord injuries and get some tips on how to play the game safer.
Play It Cool hockey was specifically designed for hockey. Both of our co-founders, Keith Primeau and Kerry Goulet were instrumental in developing the Play It Cool hockey platform and we are excited to continue to work with the Canadian Spinal Research Organization and the Play It Cool research team of Dr. William Montelpare and Dr. Susan Forbes.
Also we have several great ambassadors who are helping us make the game safer and better. Wayne Primeau, Bryan Muir, Ron Ellis, Gary Leeman, Cam Stewart, Mike Van Ryn and Jim Thomson. All of these players are helping us educate about the cause effects and consequences. Jim Thomson is a key advocate for respect and taking fighting out of our game so please check out his site to learn more: www.jimthomsonsdreams.com
